Line/Linia/Linea/Linie
there is a thin
thin line
between the english word anger
and the german word “angst”
there is an even thinner line between the polish words “złość” and “strach”
there is a multiplication of lines protecting
the delicate, fragile balance of all words ever created
how would you ever know, what anything means?
you were taught
you were told
powiedziano ci coś
ale czy coś wiesz?
erzhäl mir von
notti in cui non riesci a dormire
you were told, but what do you “know”
the line, the thin thin line between italian sentence
“cosa ti piace”?
and polish “czemu ty płaczesz”?
i learned so long
und ich habe verstanden
aber what?
nic nie rozumiem
potersi ripetere
when i look at you
there is only the line between your—eyes—and—my—eyes
no language
nie mówię po polsku
i can’t speak english
non parlo italiano
ich spreche kein deutsch
when your eyes meet my eyes
the thinnest lines become thinner
thin line
between the english word anger
and the german word “angst”
there is an even thinner line between the polish words “złość” and “strach”
there is a multiplication of lines protecting
