Kiss Me
First sign of spring
Spreading a saccharine mist that draws me outside
A striking metamorphosis
A trusted friend
Yesterday — deep, romantic and confident
Today — shy, changing and coy
Tomorrow —pure, elegant and unrelenting
Each more beautiful than before
Sweet perfume drifts through my window again
And I know that I am home
Traveler from the far west
As native as I to this arid land
Petals like painter's rags
As perilous as oil paint
Never to be tasted
Constant changing masterpiece
Spreading a saccharine mist that draws me outside
A striking metamorphosis
A trusted friend
Yesterday — deep, romantic and confident
Today — shy, changing and coy
Tomorrow —pure, elegant and unrelenting
Each more beautiful than before
Sweet perfume drifts through my window again
And I know that I am home
Traveler from the far west
As native as I to this arid land
Petals like painter's rags
As perilous as oil paint
Never to be tasted
Constant changing masterpiece
