Farewell, Summer
To: Fall
From: Summer (Ease)
Subject: Change Underway
You whisper
In my dream
That it will all be fine
I‘ll build a new house
Of stones yet to find
And will call it my new home
I see outstretched hands
A hundred smiles, it seems
See how you’ll make me grow
I see myself brave and bold
From: Summer (Ease)
Subject: Change Underway
You whisper
In my dream
That it will all be fine
But how can I trust
When I awake?
When I awake?
I‘ll build a new house
Of stones yet to find
And will call it my new home
But who promises me
That I won’t be
Across the globe
Alone?
I close my eyesThat I won’t be
Across the globe
Alone?
I see outstretched hands
A hundred smiles, it seems
But when I open my lids
I am afraid to be told
My desires were merely
A dream
I gaze at youI am afraid to be told
My desires were merely
A dream
See how you’ll make me grow
I see myself brave and bold
But then I doubt
That I will be able
So far from home
To gain foothold
That I will be able
So far from home
To gain foothold
Is there a right
Is there a found
And a final destination
No signpost
Infinite paths
I‘ll fall and fail
I know
Change paths
Change me, change us
Untie and tie
My ropes
And if I fail,
So what, I’ll grow
- Constant reformation-
So you wake me andIs there a found
And a final destination
No signpost
Infinite paths
I‘ll fall and fail
I know
Change paths
Change me, change us
Untie and tie
My ropes
And if I fail,
So what, I’ll grow
- Constant reformation-
You say
In my face
In all clarity
Let yourself fall
And I trust
That it won’t be perfect
But it will come with time.
