Cross-Cultural Reflections
My first semester abroad: Taipei, Taiwan. What
is to be my “home” for the semester actually
feels a lot more like home than I expected. The
people, the food, the scenes that I see and feel
are surprisingly familiar, a unique twist on the
South Korea that I grew up in. Here are some
snapshots displaying the interconnections be-
tween these two countries. My home may be a
sea away, but I’m finding that home can really
be found everywhere.

“They call it an omelet, I call it a burrito.”

“Only if life was as ordered as these motorcycles.”
“I see you, Samsung.”
